Turley’s Northern Planning Team makes five new appointments and expands leadership team
We have appointed five new members to our Northern Planning Team, which operates across the northern regions: Associate Director, Ollie Thomas; Senior Planner, Steven Healey; and three new Assistant Planners, Will Hannah, Rebecca Boston and Cait O’Dowd.
Ollie Thomas has a range of public sector and private sector experience and advises clients in both the urban and rural settings, including education providers, renewable technologies and housebuilders.
Senior Planner, Steven Healey joins from Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council where he spent six years working on local urban and rural development projects including major housing schemes, industrial complexes, healthcare facilities, sports developments and infrastructure, alongside assisting in the preparation and adoption of the Local Plan.
Will Hannah’s previous role was within the Development Management team at Warrington Borough Council. Rebecca graduated from the University of Sheffield in June 2021 and has previous experience within an architectural practice. Cait first completed a student placement with us in summer 2021 and has continued to work with us on a part-time basis since October 2021 while she completes her Masters degree at the University of Liverpool. Cait will join us full-time in September.
These appointments follow the promotion of Olivia Carr, Paul Forshaw and Amy Gaskell to Associate Director, who now contribute to the team’s leadership. This is further strengthened by the return of Director, Anna Relph from maternity leave. Anna oversees our residential planning offer across the north of England whilst continuing to work with clients across a range of sectors to devise planning strategies, promote sites and deliver planning permissions.
Speaking about the appointments Senior Director and Head of Planning North, Stephen Bell said:
“It is an exciting time for Ollie, Steven, Will, Rebecca and Cait to join our team, and fantastic to have Anna back, as we continue to support our clients on a broad range of regionally and nationally significant projects.
“These appointments and promotions reflect our commitment to both attracting new talent and championing the progression of our existing team. In doing so we have also enhanced the diversity of contribution, and together the team will explore fresh ideas and new opportunities which support our clients’ needs.”
