Turley sponsors Golf Classic Challenge to support Urlingford Town Team

We were proud to sponsor the Inaugural Cross Border Challenge Golf Classic at Rathdowney Golf Club on 24 September 2022. The fundraiser was organised by Urlingford Town Team to support its work to convert the town’s recently vacant Bank of Ireland building to a remote working hub.

Our Planning, Strategic Communications, and Economics teams are working to prepare a masterplan for Urlingford, to guide the development of the town into the future and to make it a more attractive destination in which to live, work and do business.

Seamus Donohoe, Director said:

“We were delighted to support the Urlingford Town Team in its efforts to repurpose the former Bank of Ireland building. It is a great opportunity for us to be able to directly support measures to regenerate of one of Ireland’s rural towns, alongside our work to prepare a masterplan for Urlingford.

Our work for Kilkenny County Council will look at the growth potential of the town, use of derelict and vacant sites and enable the delivery of a high-quality town environment through sustainable economic growth catering for an expansion of services, retail and residential uses.”

The Chairperson of the Urlingford Town Team, Fiona Joyce, said:

“The event was a great indication of the community support for the project. To have 65 sponsors and support from participating teams is phenomenal. This allows to now progress with the first of many of our planned projects.”
