Planning approved for Lisbon Street mixed-use scheme in Leeds
Our Heritage, Townscape and Landscape team, working with Quod planning consultants, provided specialist heritage services to Lisbon Street Development Limited, a joint venture partnership between developers Marrico Asset Management and Helios Real Estate on this £270 million development in Leeds city centre.
The 2.8 acre development, designed by DLA Architects and which will transform the former international swimming pool site at Lisbon Street in Leeds city centre, has been granted full planning permission by Leeds City Council.
The hybrid planning application includes two residential build-to-rent buildings of 33 and 22-storeys, a 24-storey student accommodation building, a 15-storey aparthotel (including co-working and Grade A office space) and provision for further retail and leisure space.
The Proposals were informed by detailed pre-application discussions with Leeds City Council and Historic England which helped inform the overall design, orientation and massing of the final scheme to take into account the significance of nearby listed buildings and conservation areas within the city centre.
