We provided Planning services for the Libbets Grange scheme, to be built by Bellway, which will also provide 2.7 acres of land for a new primary school and 21 acres for a new site for Crediton Rugby Club.
Planning permission for the development, which will be accessed from the A3072 at its junction with Old Tiverton Road, was granted by Mid Devon District Council on Wednesday 8 March.
The homebuilder is to deliver 257 new homes, with 201 two, three, four and five-bedroom properties for private sale and 56 affordable homes available for local people through low-cost rent or shared ownership.Land Director for Bellway South West, Sam Sowden, said:
“Our plans for Libbets Grange will benefit the area in a number of ways. The land allocated for a school and the rugby club is just part of the story.
“We are investing a significant amount of money in services and infrastructure that will support everyone in the area, from primary school children to people using public transport.
“We have designed the development so that it also includes generous areas of parkland in keeping with the character of nearby Creedy Park, and children’s play areas for families to enjoy.
“And these green spaces will create links across the development, making it a spacious and desirable neighbourhood, where people can easily get around on foot and in the fresh air.
“We have planned Libbets Grange in accordance with the Building for a Healthy Life principles, which encourage healthier lifestyles. These are at the heart of the design of the whole development.”
Libbets Grange will include two, three, four and five-bedroom properties – all from Bellway’s Artisan Collection of house styles which was designed in response to customer feedback and combines traditional craftsmanship and modern construction techniques.
