Uplands Business Park
Meeting London’s housing and employment land needs
Uplands Business Park is a landmark example of London's emerging co-location model, bringing together up to 1,800 new homes and 33,000 sq m of modern industrial and logistics space within a single mixed-use neighbourhood.
Part of the wider Blackhorse Lane Strategic Industrial Location Masterplan Framework, developed with the Greater London Authority and London Borough of Waltham Forest.
Where industry, homes and nature come together
The masterplan has been designed as a vibrant and sustainable 15-minute neighbourhood, where homes, employment space, services and amenities are within easy reach.
A network of new green and public spaces sits at the heart of the development, including the 6,000 sq m Wetlands Waterside Park overlooking the neighbouring Walthamstow Wetlands, Europe's largest urban wetlands.
Through innovative multi-storey, or 'stacked', industrial buildings, the scheme delivers a significant increase in industrial floorspace while enabling existing businesses to remain and grow.
The industrial accommodation has been carefully designed around occupier requirements, providing flexibility, operational efficiency and long-term viability.
Our involvement spanned more than four years, leading the development of the planning strategy from concept through to submission and beyond.
We helped establish the planning framework for a complex and transformative scheme that responds to London's housing needs while supporting industrial growth and employment.
We continue to provide Planning and Economics advice through the post-submission stages.
