What we have done to make our website accessible and areas we would still like to test and improve by speaking to our audience.

This accessibility statement applies to https://www.turley.co.uk

This website is run by Turley. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. That means you should be able to:

  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader

We've also made the website text as clear and simple as possible to understand.

We have taken steps to improve the accessibility of our website and continue to identify areas where further improvements can be made. We are committed to ongoing testing and enhancement. 

The accessibility of our website

At Turley, as a co-owned and BCorp certified business, we are committed to making our online experience as inclusive as possible.

Accessibility is a priority for us, and we have worked towards conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Version 2.1. The work we have undertaken consists of engaging a specialist usability agency to undertake testing using the WCAG-EM approach to evaluate digital services. Testing has been applied to key user journeys, with the user experience at the heart of the process.

Our website currently is mostly compliant with the WCAG version 2.1 AA standard. We have identified areas where we could improve it further below and we will continue to gather feedback from our audience.

 We know that some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

  • ALT tags for images
  • heading hierarchies in some pages
  • ARIA labels
  • contrast
  • some of our PDFs may not be accessible
