Changing housing markets
With a diverse population and ‘consumers’ with varied needs and expectations, the UK housing market is changing rapidly. The property industry is working hard to keep pace with new entrants, different products and means of delivery including partnerships.
As well as our traditional housebuilder and strategic promotion clients, we are specialising in projects across a wide variety of residential sectors including student accommodation, urban living, later living and new communities.
We are seeing an increase in more innovative residential development and methods of construction across the UK. Build-to rent is becoming more established in many cities, but concepts like co-living are relatively new and there are planning challenges which explain why some are yet to gain traction.
We work with our clients to overcome these challenges and demonstrate development viability, social value and sustainability.
With a strong track record in all these areas, we have experience ranging from co-living developments like Echo Street in Manchester, to build to rent complexes including The Mercian in Birmingham and later living schemes such as Extra Care apartments on the former Wiltshire College site in Chippenham. Our experience also extends to new communities including Kings Dene, Kelvedon. Find out more about our new communities work here and our urban living work here.
To keep our clients up to date, our team of experts regularly produce thought pieces and comments on the housing market. See below for our latest insight on this rapidly evolving sector.
