Turley’s eastward expansion continues through Beacon Planning acquisition

We are delighted to announce that Turley has acquired Cambridge-based planning and heritage specialist Beacon Planning Ltd.

The move extends our reach in the East of England and integrates Beacon into our national network of 13 offices. The combined business will help clients maximise opportunities across the Oxford-Milton Keynes-Cambridge growth corridor and the wider East of England.

Founded in 2008 by Andy Thompson and Jon Burgess, Beacon has grown to a team of 13 based on the edge of Cambridge and working across the Eastern Region. Their planning and heritage experts operate across a range of sectors and boast an impressive client list which includes developers, housebuilders, many Cambridge colleges, universities and schools.

We have established a successful presence in Cambridge over the past 12 months and recently appointed Justine Bailey as senior planner to join director Steven Kosky and associate director Nichola Traverse-Healy. Planning director, Sid Hadjioannou has transferred from our London office to further strengthen the Cambridge team.  These moves mean our new, combined team has 12 chartered planners offering integrated planning and heritage expertise and drawing on our  integrated full-service offer. Beacon’s heritage specialists join Turley’s established and highly-regarded national service offer which already has bases in London, Manchester and Edinburgh.
