Growth for Turley across the island of Ireland
We have strengthened our offering across the island of Ireland with six new appointments across our teams in recent months.
Rosemary Daly re-joins as a Director in our Belfast Planning team, having worked as Commissioner with the Planning Appeals Commission Northern Ireland. With more than 26 years in the built environment and planning sector, she brings extensive experience of delivering planning decisions across a wide range of environmental and planning issues throughout Northern Ireland.
As a Principal Commissioner, Rosemary was key in setting up the process for the delivery of Independent Examinations of Local Development Plans for Northern Ireland, delivering the first Independent Examinations for the Belfast Local Development Plan Strategy and the Mid and East Antrim Plan Strategy.
In her new role, Rosemary will focus on delivering new and existing Net Zero Infrastructure opportunities across the island of Ireland, as well as providing expert planning advisory services to our clients across residential, commercial, industrial, and rural development proposals in the Northern Ireland market.
In Ireland, Andrew Smith has been appointed as Associate Director, Strategic Communications, in our Dublin office. Andrew is the third appointment this year to our growing Strategic Communications service.
He joins the team from leading Dublin-based PR consultancy Murray where he advised some of the leading names in the property and development sector in Ireland, including the Land Development Agency, Hibernia Real Estate Group, Quintain and Tetrarch Capital.
Andrew will be focused on growing our presence in the Irish market, overseeing our project communications function and corporate affairs offering to both private and public sector client bases.
Elsewhere, Catherine Norris joins as Senior Planner in our Dublin Planning team having formerly worked at Downey and brings with her considerable experience in the Irish and UK residential property markets, together with environmental and infrastructure planning.
Catherine is joined in the Planning team by Leo Kilkenny who has been appointed as Assistant Planner.
Further bolstering our Northern Ireland Planning team, Ryan Watt and Aoife Byrne have joined as Assistant Planners.
Speaking about the appointments, Senior Director for Ireland, Dr Michael Gordon said:
“It’s an exciting time to welcome all six of our new members to the Turley team. We have been operating in Ireland for over 25 years and have been expanding our presence in Dublin since opening our office in 2020. We are continuing to seek appointments into senior roles to develop our business and meet the growing demand for our services.”
Angela Wiggam, Head of Planning, Ireland added:
“Rosemary and Andrew are experts in their respective fields and will support the value we add as multi-service advisors, working collaboratively with our clients to effect positive change while navigating the challenges of the planning systems operating on this island.
“We are delighted to welcome all six new members of the team, including Ryan and Aoife who have joined our Belfast planning team, and Leo and Catherine in Dublin who will continue to ensure our expert delivery on projects across a range of sectors.”
The appointments expand the capacity and specialist knowledge within our team across the island of Ireland, coming at a time of growth as we continue active recruitment of senior leadership positions in the Dublin market to meet increased demand for our unique multi-service offer.
