Strategic Development Plans: what could they mean for Wales

Strategic Development Plans (SDPs) are emerging in Wales through powers introduced by the Planning (Wales) Act 2015. Four years on, no SDPs have been delivered and questions remain.

What will they look like? How will they be delivered?  Collaboration across sectors and across the border is needed.

We have joined forces with the Home Builders Federation to contribute to the discussion. The below report examines some of the key questions facing SDPs in Wales, considers the approach to strategic planning and aims to generate and lead the debate on regional planning in Wales to ensure the potential opportunities are maximised.
